About
Learn Mahjong Quick is a free place to learn American and Hong Kong mahjong and play them. The lessons start at the very beginning. Each one is short, and you learn by tapping tiles on the screen.
When you're ready, you can play a full game against three computer players, with our House Card or your own.
We teach with our own House Card. It works like the cards groups buy each year, so what you learn here works at your own table too. We're not affiliated with any mahjong league.
The Hong Kong course teaches the Cantonese style, with chows and faan scoring, and you can play it against the computer too.
Making it easier to use
Open Settings (the gear button) to change the tiles and sound. Under Accessibility you can make text and tiles bigger, use an easy-read font, turn on high contrast, reduce motion, have instructions read aloud, and turn off timers.
How the site is paid for
Everything you use here is free. Some links on our Gear page are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a small commission at no cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We only list things we would use ourselves.
